Showcase: #SigmarShowdown Sam’s Malakai Miniature

Hey all, the model is finished and converted!

My base model for the conversion was the Mighty Lord of Khorne from the Age of Sigmar starter set.

I added scythe arms from Morbidex Twiceborn.
The head is from the Blight King box set.
Wings from a Dark Eldar Scourge.
Belt buckle from a Stormcast set (can’t remember which!)
Fur, muscle, belt, gaps and fixes with greenstuff.
The base was built up using milliput, adding resin bricks from Greenstuffworld and adding a mixture of paint, washes and pigments to grime it down.

I added a backstory as he really is a mix of everything Chaos/Sigmar based and I really enjoyed working on him and trying out new stuff.

Next challenge will be a 40k based one, but I think we will start it In June/July to give people time.

  1. Mini looks awesome, Sam. You really made excellent progress with the wet blending on the back of the right leg you were working on in a previous video. Keep up the awesome work!

    1. Thank you a lot Paul, I tried blending again as it’s not something I practise very often and would like to get better at. Happier with the results but I have such a long way to go, thanks for watching and for the kind comment! -Sam
